Shortly after her son Henry was born in 2013, Michelle noticed many families leaving Johns Island to seek better educational opportunities elsewhere. Determined to make a difference, she reached out to the Charleston County School District (CCSD) to get involved and gather community and parent input on the needs and wants of local schools.

Michelle Faust is a dedicated community leader and a passionate advocate for educational excellence in Charleston County. Since moving to Johns Island in 2012 with her family, Michelle has committed herself to addressing the educational needs of her community, leveraging her professional experience and volunteer spirit to drive significant improvements in local schools.

Michelle works in the manufacturing sector, where she is responsible for developing and maintaining quality systems and driving continual improvement. Her professional expertise in quality management and process improvement has been instrumental in her approach to educational advocacy, ensuring that every initiative she supports is grounded in efficiency, effectiveness, and measurable outcomes.
Michelle's volunteer efforts have consistently focused on enhancing educational quality and inclusivity. She has been a driving force behind initiatives that aim to keep more elementary school children on Johns Island, creating a stronger community and easing traffic congestion.
